With more than 15 years of experience, Darren Cowdrey joined the Pasadena-based California Pacific Conference of the United Methodist Church (UMC) as a pastor in 2019. In this role, Darren Cowdrey is responsible for leading the creative and spiritual direction of the organization while providing pastoral care to people of all ages.

In this position, he also coordinates new events and ministries, and works with human resources, trustee, and finance teams to ensure that the church is operating at a high standard. In addition, he is involved in summer faith camps for children and teenagers.

Rev. Cowdrey earned his master of divinity from the Pacific School of Religion, after which he was ordained into the UMC. He also attended the University of California, Irvine, where he earned a bachelor of arts in English while minoring in Spanish.

His prior experience includes serving as a pastor with the Good Shepherd United Methodist Church in Westminister, California, among other congregations.
